Today was a busy crazy stressed-out day. Some days are like that. We did just buy a dental practice. I have all the kids home for the summer.
These are the balls I juggled today: keeping my three chickens entertained and fed and out of trouble all day, answering one line of Taylor's phones for the office, baked a loaf of bread, figuring out how to integrate imaging software on new computers at the office (at first I thought we were going to have to pay $5000 for the Dexis upgrade, but alas, I found xp from softunique- NO ONE sells xp anymore, but I found it), figuring out/filing payroll tax for bookkeeping client for Feb 1094 he got a nonfiler notice for, reconciliations, making sandwiches for everyone, filing 941's for the office that somehow didn't go through for May (overlooked the rejection email) I'm sure I'll be hearing from the IRS with a penalty for that, trip to bank to figure out how to put selling dr's AR checks in our account- turns out we have to open a joint one with him- more paperwork, feeling guilty for being on phone/computer while my kids are bored, gave Olivia and her friend Emma a very short painting class and they did these really adorable portraits of eachother, making dinner (homemade pitas with chicken, humus, tomatoe and lettuce), talking to Taylor about his day and the endless list of things there is to talk about at the office, and now typing about it all. I don't think the tenses match up in what I just typed but whatever.
I can see why in the movie "The Incredibles" they made the mom "elastigirl" or whatever she was called. That's how I feel. Stretched in a million different directions.
I hope Jake has a good home now. He was a good dog. I really think it was the best thing though- can you imagine adding anything else to my list here today? walking the dog? chasing him down the street when he runs away? I can't.
Now if you'll exuse me I need to go mow the lawn before it gets dark. Taylor is playing volleyball. I'm not upset about that, he needs it. But the lawn does too. He did vaccuum the stairs the other day.
